Reflections Contest - September 19 - November 4

Let your talent shine...

The 2011-2012 PTA Reflection Arts Contest will begin on Monday, September 19 and  all entries are due on Friday, November 4, 2011.

This year's theme is "Diversity Is..."  All works must reflect this theme in some way.  Students can submit multiple entries in multiple categories.

Reflections is an opportunity for students to be creative and express themselves  through original works in:

* Literature
* Visual Arts
* Photography
* Music Composition
* Video Production
* Dance Choreography

Entries are submitted to the PCY office for judging and prizes.  PCY winners will be sent along for further competition at the La Canada District, then to San Gabriel Valley District and State Levels. Winners will be invited to a La Canada District Reception in February. All PCY participants will be eligible for a pizza party.

Look for Entry forms and Rules Sheets for each category, beginning on Monday Sept. 19, in the PCY office. Entry forms will also come home in next week's Thursday folder. You can also get all forms needed on the website: www.capta.org/Reflections

Have fun and be creative! Get started as soon as possible, remember the theme and follow the rules carefully. Parents are required to sign their child's entry form and consent form (if needed). Entries are to be submitted to the PCY office no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, November 4.
