Reading Club

Reading Club is a program offered to children in 1st through 4th grade at PCY. The program offers students additional practice in a variety of reading/writing areas, including decoding, fluency building, reading with expression, comprehension, as well as text, setting, and character analysis. This is done through games, read-alouds, readers theater, group reading, story starters, and various response to literature oral and written assignments.

Students meet once or twice a week before school (4th grade) or during early-bird/late-bird time (1st-3rd grade). Invitations are issued based on teacher recommendation. If you would like to inquire about Reading Club, please speak to your child's homeroom teacher.
